As a child in Yonkers, N.Y., I loved to draw and was heavily influenced by my mother and her sister. Aunt Rose would render the most expressive faces on blank spaces in the newspaper. I was enthralled by her unschooled skill and could watch her for hours. 

I took art classes at the Hudson River Museum, SUNY Purchase, SUNY New Paltz, and CSU Long Beach. I continued to enjoy art as a hobby while raising children and teaching English in Long Beach, CA. In 2016 my husband and I moved to Chula Vista to help take care of our grandson, and after 37 years I retired from teaching.  I am growing to feel at home in San Diego and enjoying immensely my return to art.
